In maritime summit India 2021 announced maritime sector next decade vision of envisages Rs3 lakh Cr. Investment in port project and they will create the 20 lakh new jobs opportunities for persons.

The maritime vision 2030 a 10 years blueprint plan overhauling from maritime sector in this summit inaugurated the three days And participated 24 nations.

India prime minister of Narendra modi unveiled maritime India vision (MIV) 2030 modi said that India is a leader in world maritime industry. According to the ministry of ports, shipping and water ways documents unlock the major port potential to produce revenue upto worth over 20,000 Cr. As per the document of the guidelines Rs. 1-1.5 lakh Cr. Rupees investments are planned for major port development which would creating nearly 7-10 lakh jobs.


In this maritime India vision envisages developing large capacity port in high potential growth of areas like Maharashtra, Gujrat and Odisha- west Bengal cluster at an investment of over Rs. 80000 Cr. The Indian govt. plans to boost up transshipment
internal port activities 25 percent in 2020 to more than 75 percent by operationalization of Vizhinjam port and development of transport port of kanyakumari and champbell Bay.


In this maritime summit govt. taking initiatives to develop ease of business to
implement the Enterprise Business System (EBS). For easier digitalization process as well as implement 100 percent paperless processes including online payment and execute unified ship registration portal. For this reason it will create National Marine Logistic portal. Due to this cause generating cost saving is of Rs. 20000 Cr. It said.


It said shifting from road/ rail transportation to costal shipping could generate nearly cost saving of 9000-10000 Cr. Government more focus on green sustainable energy and get more interest over renewable energy they are planning to
increase stakes of share in renewable energy upto 60 percent by 2030 from current stake share is only 10 percent. Also it has to be trying for develop zero accidental ports by 2022.


The maritime vision focus on policy of ‘
Make in India, make for the world’ and thereby becoming a leading ship building country by 2030 through 15 times boost in the gross tonnages of ship build in India. In this maritime summit enhancing cruise infrastructure by developing dedicated cruise terminal at 12 selected ports.

In this maritime vision 2021 PM Narendra Modi said that our government. investing in waterways during how 
 that was never seen before. “Domestic waterways are found to be cost effective and environment friendly ways of transporting cargoes. We aim to operationalize 23 waterways by 2030.

·       India tries to develop port-led development along with the 7516 km longer costlines.

·   For developing port, India will invest USD 82 billion in port project by 2035 (under sagarmala programme), raise the share of unpolluted renewable energy sources within maritime sector, develop waterways and boost tourism around lighthouse.

·       Implement the Enterprise Business System (EBS).

·       Increase stakes of share in renewable energy upto 60 percent by 2030 from current stake share is only 10 percent.

·       India targeted to operationalise 23 water ways by 2030.

Through the main target areas of upgradation of infrastructure, india aims to strengthen the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
